Many individuals, both current and past members of Glen Abbey Toastmasters, have taken up the challenge to promote the status of our club to new heights. Through their relentless determination and dedication, time commitment and leadership, the club continues to achieve the objectives set out at the beginning of each new season.

In order to grow and attract new members, a club must not only provide a supportive and positive learning environment, but balance the educational component with 'fun' events, theme nights and social get-togethers to foster camaraderie and good will, an element often lacking in today's high-stress business environment.

The Glen Abbey Toastmasters membership thanks the following past and present members for their valued contribution:

Toastmaster International 'Distinguished Club' Program

Every club strives to achieve as many goals as possible towards this designation. There are 3 levels of 'Distinguished' that can be achieved:

Distinguished Club 5 out of 10 goals
Select Distinguished Club 7 out of 10 goals
President Distinguished Club 9 out of 10 goals

Judging Criteria

Shown below is the criteria by which each club is judged. The success in obtaining the 'Distinguished' designation is very much influenced by the club executive by promoting the club, encouraging visitors to become members, and club members to further their educational goals.
